Nomi Integration for Zoom Meetings

This guide explains how to get started with Nomi, how it records your Zoom meetings (from your calendar or manually added events), and how to stop using it.

Getting Started

No Zoom Installation Required

Because Nomi doesn't use a direct Zoom OAuth connection, there is no installation step needed within Zoom itself. You do not need to authorize Nomi via the Zoom Marketplace.

Connect Your Calendar (Primary Method)

For fully automatic detection, Nomi needs access to your calendar (e.g., Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook Calendar) to find your scheduled Zoom meetings.

  1. Log in to your Nomi account.
  2. Go to the Settings or Integrations section.
  3. Find the option for your calendar provider (Google or Microsoft) and click Connect.
  4. Follow the prompts to authorize Nomi to access your calendar events.

Manual Event Addition (Alternative Method)

You can also inform Nomi about meetings by adding them directly within the Nomi application itself. See the Usage section for details.

How Nomi Records Your Zoom Meetings

Nomi joins and records Zoom meetings it knows about, either automatically from your connected calendar or because you added them manually in Nomi.

Ensure Nomi Knows About Your Meeting

Option A (Automatic via Calendar):

Schedule your meeting with a Zoom link in the calendar you have connected to Nomi. Nomi will detect it automatically.

Option B (Manual Add in Nomi):

Add the event details, including the full Zoom meeting link, directly within the Nomi application by going to Calls > Upcoming Calls and using the "Add Event" feature.

Start Your Meeting

Launch your Zoom meeting at the scheduled time using its link.

Nomi Assistant Joins Automatically

If Nomi knows about the meeting (via calendar or manual add), the Nomi Assistant bot will automatically join as a participant, typically within 30-60 seconds after the meeting starts.

Recording

The bot silently records the meeting to generate an file and a text transcript.

Access Recordings

After the meeting, find the transcript and recording in your Nomi Library (usually within ~15 minutes).

Explore your Nomi Library to review past recordings, search transcripts, and utilize other Nomi features.

Disabling for Specific Meetings

This applies whether the meeting was detected via calendar or added manually. If you don't want Nomi to record a particular meeting:

  1. Go to the "Upcoming Calls" section in your Nomi application (this should list meetings from both sources)
  2. Find the specific meeting
  3. Click "Prepare" (or the equivalent option)
  4. Turn the "Bot Enabled" toggle to the "Off" position
  5. Save changes if needed. The bot will not join this specific meeting

Removing Nomi

No Zoom Uninstallation Required

Since Nomi doesn't install directly into your Zoom account via OAuth, you do not need to uninstall it through the Zoom App Marketplace.

Stop Nomi Recording

To stop Nomi from joining future Zoom meetings:

  • If you primarily use the calendar integration, disconnect your calendar within Nomi's Settings > Integrations.
  • Stop adding events manually within the Nomi app.

(Optional) Account Deletion
